Kerry Lynch stepped into the role of editor of the&nbsp;Aviation International News&nbsp;monthly magazine in May 2022 after serving with&nbsp;AIN&nbsp;for eight years. She joined&nbsp;AIN&nbsp;in December 2014 as a senior editor covering Washington and business aviation news. She has also served on Convention News teams, including as editor of&nbsp;HAI Convention News. Lynch previously spent 25 years with Aviation Week. During her time there, she reported for and later steered&nbsp;The Weekly of Business Aviation, oversaw business aviation content on the&nbsp;Aviation Week Intelligence Network, served on the&nbsp;Show News&nbsp;staff, and held roles as the Washington columnist for&nbsp;Business &amp; Commercial Aviation&nbsp;and&nbsp;Overhaul &amp; Maintenance&nbsp;monthly magazines. In 2021 she was honored with the National Business Aviation Association Platinum Wing Award for lifetime achievement in journalism and was the 2004 recipient of the National Air Transportation Association’s Aviation Journalism Excellence Award. She also has been a recipient of an Aerospace Media Award for business aviation (2022) and NBAA Gold Wing Award (2003, 2024). Lynch graduated from The Ohio State University with a bachelor of arts in journalism.

Bombardier manufactures a variety of business aircraft models, provides engineering, and aircraft maintenance services.

Bombardier and Vista today announced a services agreement valued at $300 million over the next five years, with the former providing Smart Parts cost-per-flight-hour services coverage for portions of the operator’s Challenger and Global fleets. The master services agreement provides a cost-per-flight-hour framework and parts cost protection.
The Smart Parts programs cover component exchanges for major systems, avionics, tires, and brakes, among other areas. Bombardier is investing to increase parts availability tailored to the Vista Bombardier fleet, which will support higher aircraft availability, Vista said.
“Bombardier’s pioneering Smart Parts cost-per-flight-hour programs are designed to maximize flexibility, convenience, and budget predictability, making it an ideal choice for our longstanding customer Vista,” said Paul Sislian, Bombardier’s executive v-p of aircraft sales and aftermarket services. “This services and support agreement with Vista leverages our Smart Parts programs and further deepens the relationship that exists between the two companies, providing cost protection for select models of Vista’s Challenger and Global aircraft.”
The announcement comes a week after <a href="https://www.ainonline.com/aviation-news/business-aviation/2026-04-15/vista-takes-delivery-first-global-8000-upgrade">Vista took delivery</a> of its first of 18 Global 8000 conversions (from the 7500) that will take place this year and follows <a href="https://www.ainonline.com/aviation-news/business-aviation/2026-02-11/vista-refreshes-fleet-ordering-160-challenger-3500s">the order</a> Vista placed in February for 40 Challenger 3500s with options for another 120 aircraft. That order carried a firm value of $1.18 billion, growing to $4.72 billion if all options are exercised. Both the newly upgraded 8000s and incoming Challenger 3500s will be covered under the services agreement.
“This agreement marks an important step in further enhancing the reliability and performance of the Vista fleet,” added Vista COO Nick van der Meer. “By leveraging Bombardier’s Smart Parts programs, we are strengthening our ability to deliver a seamless and consistent experience to our clients around the world. Predictable maintenance and optimized aircraft availability are key to ensuring that every Vista flight meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and service that our clients expect.”
