Deer Jet recently signed a three-year contract with Honeywell that enters 12 of its Gulfstreams into the Honeywell Avionics Protection Plan (HAPP) and another nine aircraft into the Honeywell Mechanical Protection Plan (MPP). Additionally, Deer Jet will become an authorized dealer and will sell HAPP to other business jet operators in the Asia-Pacific region.

 


Operators that enroll their aircraft in the HAPP service and protection plan are able to anticipate avionics maintenance and repair costs for enrolled aircraft. The company will also promote Honeywell’s MPP, a cabin protection program for business aviation operators that focuses on environmental and cabin pressure control systems.

 


"Deer Jet has been the leading business jet operator in China enrolled in HAPP and the MPP since 2015,” said Zhou Jinshan, v-p of maintenance for Deer Jet. “After our successful trial of enrolling our first three Gulfstream G550s into the HAPP, we have extended the HAPP and MPP to more aircraft.

 


“These are cost-effective and reliable programs, which have helped us save nearly $1 million in fleet maintenance costs and ensure we receive timely support whenever servicing is required,” he continued. “Moving forward, we are committed to introducing more business jet operators in the region to HAPP and are confident that Honeywell will continue to help operators optimize fleet availability, while further streamlining maintenance costs."

 


Earlier this month, Deer Jet received FAA repair station <a href="https://www.ainonline.com/aviation-news/business-aviation/2018-04-04/deer-jet-obtains-us-faa-repair-station-approval">approval</a>, becoming one of only 45 U.S.-approved maintenance organizations in Mainland China.
