Pilatus Aircraft this week handed over the 1,700th PC-12 some 25 years after the turboprop single entered service.

The coating systems include primers, sanding surfacers, and "special effects" options for metallic finishes.

Goal is one-stop maintenance and recurrent training capabilities for the King Air, PC-12, TBM, Citation, Conquest and Cheyenne.

AMAC's 16,000-sq-ft, $10 million hangar in Istanbul will be up and running by end of year. AMAC will also market the Pilatus PC-12 in the middle east.

PC-12 flight planning seems to work out best at 260 kt, which means a 1,200-nm trip with IFR reserves will keep you in the cabin for 4.5 hr.
