Colorado-based non-profit Wings Over the Rockies Exploration of Flight will host the opening of the Boeing Sky Aviation Gallery on&nbsp;July 21 and 22. The 19,000-sq-ft facility, which has been in the works for approximately 10 years, will open at Centennial Airport (KAPA) and offer a glimpse of the present and future of aviation.

 


Those who visit the Boeing Sky Aviation Gallery campus will take part in interactive and educational exhibits and have the opportunity to watch airplanes overhead and listen to chatter from Centennial's air traffic control tower.&nbsp;Visitors will also be able to try their hands at Redbird simulators and interact with aviation technology through Aspen Flying Club.

 


As part of a larger project, the Boeing Sky Aviation Gallery is Wings Over the Rockies’ second location. The organization’s Air and Space Museum, which is located in the former Lowry Air Force Base in Denver, features aircraft exhibits on the F-4 Phantom, Douglas B-18 Bolo, F-104 Starfighter, EA-6B Prowler, among others.

 


After the opening weekend, the Boeing Sky Aviation Gallery will be open to the public Fridays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays from ﻿12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
