A lifelong aviation enthusiast who joined&nbsp;AIN&nbsp;in 2007, Curt came to&nbsp;the publication&nbsp;from the broadcast industry where he was a national science and technology television reporter and producer. He writes on the FBO field, aviation finance, and sustainable aviation and occasionally contributes to&nbsp;AIN&nbsp;sister publication&nbsp;Business Jet Traveler. Curt was a member of the AINtv reporting staff that won the 2008 Aerospace Journalist of the Year award for Best Airshow Daily. That same year, he was a finalist for another AJOYA award. He earned an AJOYA for Best Business Aviation Submission in 2018 and was a finalist in that category in 2021. He received the National Air Transportation Association’s&nbsp; Aviation Journalist Award in 2012 and won a Pegasus Sapphire Business Aviation Award for outstanding journalism in 2021.
Before joining AIN, Curt worked with&nbsp;Consumer Reports’ television division, CRTV, and for several local television news staffs. An honors graduate of the State University of New York at Stony Brook, he earned a master’s degree in broadcast journalism from Boston University in 1995. Curt lives in New York State with his wife and two young sons.

Jet Aviation has signed a 30-year lease to operate an FBO at Denver-area Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport (KBJC). The facility will be the cornerstone of an aviation campus to be jointly developed at the airport by SR Aviation Infrastructure (SRAI) and Business Aviation (BA) Group.
Scheduled to open in 2028 as the third service provider at KBJC, the 15-acre complex on the south side of the field will feature a 7,500-sq-ft terminal, 70,000 sq ft of hangar space capable of sheltering ultra-long-range business jets, and more than 4.5 acres of ramp.
“With its proximity to both the city and surrounding ski areas, Rocky Mountain Airport continues to grow as a key hub for our U.S. and international customers,” said David Best, Jet Aviation’s senior v-p of regional operations and general manager of the Americas. “We look forward to working closely with our partners, the airport, and the local community, to design and build a world-class FBO that brings our commitment to safety, operational excellence, and seamless, personalized service to Colorado.”
Leading the investment, development, and long-term ownership of the project, <a href="https://www.ainonline.com/aviation-news/business-aviation/2024-11-19/major-las-vegas-hangar-complex-changes-hands">SRAI</a> plans to add private hangar infrastructure at the location. It is working alongside BA Group, which is serving as master developer for the broader south side campus and overseeing site strategy and development execution.
