A lifelong aviation enthusiast who joined&nbsp;AIN&nbsp;in 2007, Curt came to&nbsp;the publication&nbsp;from the broadcast industry where he was a national science and technology television reporter and producer. He writes on the FBO field, aviation finance, and sustainable aviation and occasionally contributes to&nbsp;AIN&nbsp;sister publication&nbsp;Business Jet Traveler. Curt was a member of the AINtv reporting staff that won the 2008 Aerospace Journalist of the Year award for Best Airshow Daily. That same year, he was a finalist for another AJOYA award. He earned an AJOYA for Best Business Aviation Submission in 2018 and was a finalist in that category in 2021. He received the National Air Transportation Association’s&nbsp; Aviation Journalist Award in 2012 and won a Pegasus Sapphire Business Aviation Award for outstanding journalism in 2021.
Before joining AIN, Curt worked with&nbsp;Consumer Reports’ television division, CRTV, and for several local television news staffs. An honors graduate of the State University of New York at Stony Brook, he earned a master’s degree in broadcast journalism from Boston University in 1995. Curt lives in New York State with his wife and two young sons.

In a move that expands its presence across eastern Iowa and western Illinois and strengthens its ability to deliver comprehensive aviation services, Galesburg, Illinois-based aviation services provider Jet Air Inc. has purchased two FBOs and a satellite Part 145 repair facility from Revv Aviation.
Jet Air has rebranded the former Revv FBOs at Davenport Municipal (KDVN) and Muscatine Municipal (KMUT) airports in Iowa, as well as the maintenance station at Quad Cities International Airport (KMLI) in Moline, Illinois.
It also purchased the aircraft management contracts at those locations. Jet Air now owns, operates, or manages 20 turbine aircraft, primarily Cessna Citations and Beechcraft King Airs, in addition to a large fleet of training aircraft.
The acquisition brings Jet Air to six FBOs in the region, including its existing locations at Iowa City Municipal (KIOW) and Southwest Iowa Regional (KBRL) airports; and at Galesburg Regional (KGBG) and Macomb Municipal (KMQB) airports in Illinois, along with five maintenance facilities situated within approximately 100 sq mi.
“Our concentrated presence allows us to collaborate across facilities, share expertise, and offer capabilities that are not typically available in rural markets,” said Jet Air president Phillip Wolford.
Following the transaction, Revv retains its lone FBO at Southern Wisconsin Regional Airport (KJVL) in Janesville. It also offers aircraft maintenance and charter at Aurora Municipal Airport (KARR) in Illinois; flight instruction, maintenance, and avionics at Iowa’s Council Bluffs Municipal Airport (KCBF); and a flight school at Eppley Airfield (KOMA) in Omaha, Nebraska.
