Business aircraft MRO and management company LegendAire continues to expand in Cyprus with the May 21 approval of a satellite line station at Paphos International Airport, in the west of the island, with 24/7 airside access. The company has also added a new Bombardier Global operator to its managed fleet.

 


“The Paphos satellite station is an important milestone and part of our growth plans,” said Vincent Picard,&nbsp;business development director, Middle East, North Africa, and&nbsp;Asia&nbsp;Pacific, adding, “We now offer maintenance coverage for [all] Bombardier business aircraft types on both of Cyprus’s international airports.” It holds approvals for the Global Express/XRS/5000 and 6000, the Challenger 850, Challenger 601,604, 605 and 650, the Challenger 300 and 350, the Learjet 31, 35/36 and 60/60XR and expects to gain approval for the Global 7000 after it enters service later this year.

 


In addition, at its headquarters at Larnaca International Airport, the company continues to expand operations some three years since setting up on the eastern Mediterranean island. LegendAire also has offices in the United Arab Emirates to serve the MENA region and Hong Kong for the Asia-Pacific region. The company offers business aircraft maintenance and management and has current MRO approval under EASA 145, Isle of Man, San Marino, FAA (Part 91) with upcoming approval for aircraft registered in Aruba, Bermuda, the Cayman Islands, and Saudi Arabia.

 


Picard noted that the company is able to offer hangarage at both Larnaca and Paphos, provides AOG worldwide recovery assistance, entry into service assistance, flight engineering support, aircraft acquisition support and CAMO approved Part M.

 


The company has a mobile repair team based in Cyprus to support AOG recovery across the Middle East, Africa, Europe, and Russia. LegendAire also provides limited light maintenance and AOG support in China and Asia-Pacific, said Picard.

 


Picard said LegendAire is “in the process of finalizing a joint venture with some companies in northeast Asia. We are already well established in the Middle East, and&nbsp;now we are rapidly expanding our EASA 145 coverage in northeast Asia on Bombardier products to offer maintenance support to the numerous new EASA-registered airplanes operating in this region.”
