One Aviation and partner company Eclipse Aerospace have entered into a voluntary agreement with officials at Chicago Executive Airport (PWK) to vacate the factory-owned Eclipse service center at the airport by May 31. "Yes, we are closing the Palwaukee [Airport] service center, and we intend to open a new facility in the Chicago area within the next few weeks," One Aviation CEO Alan Klapmeier told AIN.

 


The agreement, obtained by AIN, notes that airport officials served the company with a notice to terminate its lease at PWK last October, followed by a Forcible Entry and Detainer Action in February. Terms of the voluntary surrender agreement include specified deadlines for One Aviation’s payment of approximately $50,700 in rent to the airport from February 2018 through the end of May.

The company also maintains a factory-owned Eclipse Platinum Service Center at its Albuquerque, New Mexico headquarters, with authorized Gold Service facilities in San Diego and Boca Raton, Florida, as well as four service centers throughout Europe and one in Brazil.

 


Klapmeier would not give an exact date for the transition to the new service center near Chicago or where that facility will be located.
