Embraer EMB-110P1 Bandeirante, Santo António, Brazil, Feb. 7, 2009–The Manaus Aerotáxi Bandeirante passenger flight encountered heavy rain and crashed into a river. The crew of two and 22 of the 26 passengers died. The four surviving passengers said one of the engines failed. The maximum number of passenger seats in a Bandeirante is 19; eight of the passengers were “small” children.
